Taking The Leap
Greetings!
My name is Me’Ja Day, MD. I am a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon. You can read more about me on the about link.
One conversation I frequently have with my grandmother is about faith. As a Christian, we are taught that all you need is to have “faith the size of a mustard seed.” Admittingly, there have been times in my life where I have felt fear. This fear was grounded in uncertainty because of the unknown.
Yet I decided to start a medical practice in the middle of a global health pandemic. Why you ask? Because this pandemic highlighted the fact that I need to be able to practice medicine on my own terms. I need to be able to take care of patients the way I feel they need to be taken care of. So here I am, taking a giant leap of faith. Except my faith has grown to be much bigger than a mustard seed.
